Through culturally responsive advocacy, personalized resource navigation, and community partnerships, we help people find more than a referral—we help them find a path forward.

Founder & Executive Director
Rooted Minds Foundation was not just created—it was lived.
It comes from experience, from witnessing struggle up close, and from understanding what it feels like to navigate systems that too often overlook the very people who need them most.
As a Black social worker serving underserved communities, I have seen how lack of access, stigma, and systemic barriers impact individuals and families every single day. But I have also seen resilience, strength, and the power of community.
This foundation was built to do things differently—to provide support that is not only accessible, but also culturally responsive, compassionate, and grounded in real understanding.
I created Rooted Minds Foundation to be the kind of support system I know our communities deserve.
Because healing is not surface level.

HOW WE HELP
Housing Stability
Support navigating housing crises, move-in assistance, rental arrears, and available housing stability programs.
Resource Navigation
Personalized guidance connecting individuals and families to appropriate community resources and support.
Basic Needs Support
Assistance accessing hygiene products, identification documents, transportation, school supplies, work-related documents, and other essential needs.
Advocacy
Helping individuals understand complex systems, overcome barriers, advocate for their needs, and have their voices heard.
Referrals & Partnerships
Connecting individuals and families with trusted community organizations and specialized services when additional support is needed.
Community Outreach
Resource fairs, pop-up events, donation distributions, community partnerships, and direct engagement designed to bring resources closer to the people who need them.
